Herschel & Planck

Thanks for posting all this. I didn't realise how interesting Herschel and Planck actually were - I was too busy laughing about Atlantis destroying more of the flame trench.

Out of interest, what is the rough maximum reach of the space shuttle, and is the Ariane 5 doing anything special to launch satellites so far out?
